How do I make exposed brick look less unfinished?

I am living in a loft, and the living room has exposed brick walls. I like my apartment, but it bothers me because the place looks so unfinished, like it should be painted. How can I make the exposed brick look less unfinished on a budget?

One of the most basic things you can do to make your brick wall look attractive is to give it a coat of paint in a color that works well with the rest of the room or use bold colorful wall art . You can add a wooden shelf and display some of your favorite trinkets, or hang a lovely painting in the center.
