Does rug texture affect the design and tone of a bedroom?

I am struggling to decide what kind of textured rug I want to buy for my bedroom. I'm stuck between a really soft, furry rug and a matted, coarse rug. Does the texture of a rug affect the design and tone of a bedroom?

These 2 rugs are very different in texture so will create a different feel or tone in your bedroom. A furry rug can create a sense of warmth and comfort while a course rug could feel more modern and minimalist. It entirely depends on what look you're going for.
