I am buying new furniture and decorative pieces for my daughter's room. What size rug is appropriate for a child's room?

Ideally the rug should be large enough for your daughter to play, which is the main purpose for this rug in her room. As a rule of thumb, you want at least 18 to 24 inches of rug on both sides of the bed, as well as the end. Since kid's can be quite messy, the material choice is important too. Look for materials that are easy to clean and can endure lots of wear and tear.
