Your first larger rug should be laid down straight according to the bed and other furniture in your bedroom, and the smaller accent rugs can be placed on top, at a different angle. The effect of this is that it will direct the eye to this specific area. Have fun experimenting different spots for your rug, or even move the furniture around to create the look you're most comfortable with.
