What natural materials are used in Mediterranean interior design?
Asked 4 years ago
I am renovating my bedroom and bathroom. I want them to be Mediterranean-inspired. I want the interior to have multiple tones layered, just to add more depth. The spaces need a warm, charming yet natural atmosphere to them.

For Mediterranean décor, the natural materials used would be wood (painted in white or naturally varnished), marble or stone, cotton in the towels, reeds in the blinds, and blue glass to echo the color of the sea. Turquoise, a gemstone found by the Spanish in South America, also gives a Mediterranean feel.
