Are premium vinyl rugs heavy enough to sustain heavy traffic areas?

The rug in my entrance hallway needs to be changed, and I’m tired of having to change it so frequently. I’m on a mission for a new rug. I love rugs. They’re that small design element that can have a big impact on a space. This time around, I want something that’s luxurious and durable enough to resist possible damage. Are vinyl rugs strong enough for someone who enjoys having people over?
