Are decorative plants popular in Japanese design?
Asked 3 years ago
I feel like my home doesn't have enough plants as decorative pieces. I have a Japanese design running throughout all the rooms. Are decorative plants popular in Japanese design? If so, what kind of plants? Thanks!

Yes, plants are perfectly at home with Japanese-inspired décor, especially when paired with light, space, and natural textures. You can add traditional Japanese plants such as bonsai and bamboo to complement your current design. Orchids are also a good option, but keep them to a minimum because plants are used more than flowers in Japanese design.
