Is it a bad idea to let my iron tray air dry after washing it?
Asked 3 years ago
My husband wants to get me set of colorful iron trays for my kitchen remodel. I love keeping my kitchen spaces and surfaces clean at all times. I normally hand wash the my wooden trays but I'm anxious about immersing the iron trays in water. I'm anxious about damaging them from rust if I let them air dry. should I be worried?

I would not recommend letting your iron tray air dry after washing. This will definitely allow rust to build in corners where it water may get trapped, taking longer to dry. I would avoid immersing your iron try in water too. Rather clean off your trays with a damp cloth, removing and dust or trapped dirt, then wipe off any excess moisture with a dry cloth. This will help with the longevity of your iron tray.
