Are premium vinyl trivets better at protecting countertops from scratches?

I was gifted metal trivets by my grandmother to help store and cool down food right before serving. However, despite their usefulness, they scratch up my granite countertops with deep, difficult-to-remove grooves. I'm looking for something gentler on my countertops that I can use regularly. Are premium vinyl trivets a good way to avoid scratches on smooth surfaces?

Hi there. Metal is definitely going to scratch up granite in a very frustrating way. Premium vinyl trivets are a much gentler material that you can place on your countertop, as they will not create any scratches or marks! Also, if you do want to use your grandmother's trivets from time to time, then I would recommend you place them on top of premium vinyl table runners to protect your granite countertop.
