Should you match your tile rug borders to the colors of your decorative wall pieces?
Asked 3 years ago
I want to add a tile rug as a modern, attractive feature in my kitchen. My sister pointed out that adding a border to the tile rug will help it stand out even more. I have wall pieces in my kitchen, namely a white gold clock and a painting of white lilies. Should my tile rug border be white in order to match my decorative wall pieces?

A border around your tile rug will indeed make it stand out more. However, making it match the color of your decorative wall pieces may diminish that effect and make it blend in more than you'd like. Don't be afraid to make your tile rug pop, and you don't have to make your borders the same color as your wall art.
