Are iron trays resistant to fading over time if cleaned regularly?

I've been looking forward to a kitchen renovation for a long time, and I'm ready to transform my space. I'd like to purchase trays to improve my family's dining experience. My husband wants us to get an iron tray set, but I'm not sure how long they'll last after multiple washes.

Iron trays are a great choice. They are strong and durable. And you know what? You don't have to "wash" them in the strict sense of the word.
