What colors fit in the design for Roman-style mosaic tiles?
Asked 4 years ago
I am renovating my kitchen this year and have been inspired by the Roman interior design that I have seen online and in architecture magazines. I want the Roman style to extend to my kitchen tiles using a mosaic design to replicate a geometric cubic pattern. Can someone please tell me what colors are part of the Roman-style tiles? Thanks so much!

In most cases, Roman-style mosaics are not vibrantly colorful, but there are occasional splashes of color found. Whites and off-whites, browns, muted greens, light reds, and dark blues were often used. If you use these colors, you should be able to achieve an authentic Roman appearance with your mosaic tiles.
