I got a really great deal on rugs at a flea market and may have gone crazy on buying them. I am thinking of laying them over each other in different rooms of my house. Is it trendy to overlay rugs like that?

Yes! Overlaying rugs is a great idea. It is a smart and simple way to give a room texture allows for pattern-mixing, another trend in interior design. Layering rugs can a space pop in a playful and pretty way, while practically pulling  a space together nicely.
