If I want a quiet walkway in my bathroom, is premium vinyl good?
Asked 2 years ago
I want the walkway to my bathroom to be quiet since it is down the hallway, and everyone can hear people walk to the bathroom at night. I know that vinyl flooring and rugs are waterproof, and this was the main deciding factor for choosing it, but is it also soundproof, or do I need to add a rug down the hallway?

If you are looking for sound absorbing, or soundproof flooring, then premium vinyl could absolutely work. Premium vinyl is designed with a foam-backing as well as a flexible material, making it ideal for sound absorption. This added feature means that you can enjoy the soundproofing benefits of a carpeted floor without actually having to lay down carpet. Another bonus is that you could be able to block airborne noise too.
