Do premium vinyl floors crack in high-traffic areas like the bathroom?
Asked 2 years ago
I have been looking for an alternative to hardwood floors that would be more cost-effective with the same elegance and vibe. Stone flooring would have been great too, but I figured that I could get a similar look and feel with vinyl flooring. I am a bit concerned maintenance-wise, isn’t vinyl more susceptible to cracking or should I just opt for vinyl rugs for my bathroom?

There is a risk of premium vinyl tiles cracking IF just too much weight gets dropped onto the floor, for example, if very heavy furniture gets dropped onto it. But ultimately it is very hard to crack vinyl and maintenance-wise, premium vinyl is a lot easier to clean and look after. So I would recommend choosing premium vinyl rugs for your bathroom!
