Can you incorporate recycled vinyl flooring into new flooring material?

The vinyl flooring in my kitchen is being ripped up as part of the kitchen renovation. However, I don't want it to be thrown away and pollute the environment. I want it to be recycled and incorporated into the new kitchen flooring. Does anyone know if this is achievable? Thanks!

You should be able to reuse your vinyl flooring with some creativity. You can put the vinyl flooring in areas that will see lots of traffic or are likely for spills and messes to happen. That way, you don't have to worry about your new flooring being damaged or wearing away quickly.
