What furniture complements a West African tribal rug?

I received a West African tribal rug as a farewell present from my friends. It’s quite attention-grabbing, and I want to put furniture and accessories over it that will go well with it. Would West African furniture pair well with the rug design?

What a great gift! Because West African tribal colors can be so incredibly vibrant, brights with layered textures and patterns, having simple or understated furniture would work well here. Muted colors such as grey, white or light tans allows the rug to stand out. Another nice feature would be to have one feature-piece of furniture that would match a color found on your rug.
