Does combining neutral and earthy tones count as a Mediterranean palette?
Asked 2 years ago
I'm planning to redo my family room. I've always been drawn to Mediterranean interior design. To make the space more cohesive, I want to change the wall color and add a high quality rug. I chose satin white as my base color and intend to add an earthy olive tone. Will combining the two count as a Mediterranean palette?

Oh yes absolutely! Besides their richer and vibrant colors, there is a lot of neutral tones that are associated with the Meditteranean palette. Earthy olive will work perfectly with your satin white, creating a lovely balance and lightness in your family room. A light base is always ideal to start with, it allows you space to creatively build from that.
