Can textured patterns on a vinyl rug complement white-washed walls?
Asked 2 years ago
I recently purchased a townhouse with white-washed walls. I love the rustic feel of the space, but I want to bring it up a notch. My partner wants us to go with a Mediterranean theme, but I'm concerned that it will be too expensive. I want to experiment with vinyl rugs and wonder if natural patterns like wood work well.

Vinyl rugs definitely are a great idea. Not only are they cost-efective, but they also come in a range of patterns, colors, designs, you name it! So going with a Mediterranean theme won't break the bank. But if you prefer natural patterns and textures, wood patterns in a darker brown or beige are a lovey choice too. Since the walls are white washed, the rugs and walls may look too similar in texture and you would need something to break the monotony. Don't be afraid to play around with bolder Mediterranean colors like rich blues and vibrant reds or terracotta.
