What is the Mediterranean color palette for interior design?

Asked 2 years ago

I’m getting bored of the feel of my bedroom. I want to transform it into a Mediterranean-style sanctuary. Warm and grounded, earthy tones are what I want to go for. The rooms need a bit of texture and color, but I’m not sure what colors to use yet.

Mediterranean colors are meant to richly reflect the colors of this region. The blues of the sea, rich earthly terracotta and browns, leafy green, sunshine yellow, and metallics in copper and gold. You will want to maximize natural light to create an open and airy, breezy interior space.

Mediterranean colors get their gorgeous inspiration from a natural earthy and neutral palette. Warm tones like terracotta, ochre and burnt umber echo the earth, while shades of blue mimic the sky and the sea: think azure and cerulean blue for a seaside palette. These colors work great if you're going for a Moroccan theme.
