Can I use a Mediterranean blue rug to create a relaxing bedroom atmosphere?

I've been looking forward to designing the perfect apartment bedroom. I was browsing design ideas on Pinterest when I came across the Mediterranean color palette. I want to combine water tones with blue, especially for a rug. I want to create a relaxing environment, but I don't know if this is the right color for me?

Mediterranean blues will help to create a serene and soft environment, perfect for a an apartment space. Bring the seaside straight to you with these deliciously calming tones! Even though blue is a strong color, it can match very well with light walls, as well as brighter colors like rich orange, terracotta and vibrant yellows. Have fun exploring. But yes, I think you are on the right track design-wise in choosing blue for a relaxing enviroment.
