Should a bathroom tile rug be placed in the center of the floor without overlap?
Asked 3 years ago
I have plans to put a tile rug in my ensuite bathroom. My tiles are pale blue and I want my tile rug to be dark blue and white. I feel like it will add a lot of texture and lift the room. The one problem I'm running into is that I don't know where the tile rug should be placed. I have two options: The center of the room without overlap from the bathtub, or to the left of the room with overlap from the bathtub. Please can someone help me decide on the best placement?

This can be a difficult choice to make, but in the end, it will probably look best when you place the tile rug at the center of your bathroom with no overlap from the bathtub. But ultimately, it's up to you because it's your bathroom. If you want to test it out without any commitment, why not lay out the tiles (without actually placing them permanently) and test which option looks best to you?
