Is vinyl flooring flexible to recycle and easy to incorporate into new products?

The vinyl flooring in my living room needs to be replaced as part of our home renovation. My husband doesn't want it to be thrown away because of the high content of plastic and chlorine in the flooring. I am trying to find information online about recycling vinyl flooring. Please can someone advise if vinyl flooring can be recycled and, if yes, can it be incorporated into new products?

Vinyl flooring can be recycled, but you'll have to find a recycling center able to deal with the material properly. Vinyl can be recycled up to eight times, and turned into new products along the way. The important thing is just to find a recycling center that can handle vinyl flooring.
