Is a grid formation the best pattern for a Mediterranean tile design?

My husband and I are renovating the bathroom in our new house. We are drawing on Mediterranean interior design as inspiration for our renovation. We are a bit stuck with ideas of what to do about our bathroom tiles. We want a Mediterranean tile design, but we don't know what kind of tile formation will suit this style. Does anyone know if a grid formation is the best pattern?

You can absolutely go with a grid formation if that's what you want. There are many ways to incorporate that Mediterranean feel in your bathroom, and the formation of the tiles isn't overly important. What is important, though, is that you use the right colors for the mood you want to create and that you use designs that you're happy with. After all, it's YOUR bathroom so you should make it look how you want!
