Will the mats color be exactly as on the screen?

Colors may appear slightly different on every screen, computer, tablet or cell phone. Therefore you can expect that the colors on your screen will reflect closely the colors of your chosen product but the colors will never be identical. Further, due to the print process complexity, every product is one of a kind in the sense that no two products would look exactly the same.

Are your products will always perform the same in terms of appearance?

Our products are digitally created with great respect to the origin and authenticity of the designs, their color and quality.  Each mat is produced per your order, in an individual process. Our custom and manual handling is something we take pride in.Every production batch carries a different “DNA” so each product is unique. Therefore you can expect small variations in color between batches.

Handle & Care

How do I straighten my tile flooring mat?

Cold weather can affect the performance and flexibility of the mat  so warmth should do the trick. Reverse roll the mat and lay it for a moment in a safe distance from a mild heat source until it softens a little. Spread the mat on the floor. Within a short while it will flatten out completely.

How do I clean Beija Flor mat?

Our mats are the easiest to clean and require very little maintenance.

  • Wash the mat only with soap and water on both sides and leave to dry. 
  • All floor cleaning liquids should do.
  •  Do not use acid, bleach, chlorine, dish soap, degreaser or alcohol as they can damage the printing. 

How do I clean Beija Flor placemats?

  • Use wet cloth  only with soap and water and leave to dry.
  • Do not use acid, bleach, chlorine, dish soap, degreaser or alcohol as they can damage the printing. 
  • Do not wash in dishwasher
  • Store flat or rolled (do not fold!)
  • Do not put boiling hot pots pans directly on placemats.
  • Make sure table surface and placemats are dry before placing.

Can Beija Flor products be used outside?

Our mats are intended for indoor use, However, they can be used in a shaded patio or balcony. Be mindful as colors may fade in direct sunlight. We don’t recommend using our mats in wet environments.

Are your mats suitable for the bathroom?

For your safety we don’t recommend using our mats in wet environments as they don’t have an anti-slip surface.

Can I use floor mats on floors with radiant heating systems?

Yes. Beija Flor floor mats can withstand 85°F/30°C from radiant heating systems.

Can I use my Beija mat on wood flooring?

From years of experience we didn’t encounter any problems with using our marts on wooden floors. However, as wood is a natural and breathing material we do recommend to handle it with extra caution. Before placing the mat make sure the floor is completely dry. Otherwise, the floor mat materials may have a negative reaction when placed on a wooden floor. We also recommend occasionally lifting and moving your floor mat to refresh and air the sourface.

Can I place hot pots directly on a placemats or runner?

We offer table runners and trivets that are heat resistant and perfect for serving hot pots. However, our placemats aren’t made to endure high temperatures such as these and can be damaged by misuse handling.

Any special care instructions you can share with me?

With reasonable domestic use our mats will serve you for many years.  Please note the following:

  • Do not drag heavy furniture across the Mat
  • Do not fold the mat! If transported or stored – either lay it flat or roll it up
  • For indoor use only. Can be used in shaded patio or balcony
  • Do not place the mat in wet environments as they become slippery once water gathers on the upper surface.

Are all your products available online?

All our collections are available online. The Beija Flor website is the only place on earth with the complete Beija Flor assortment- latest and greatest.

Can I get samples before I decide to buy an item?

We do not provide samples. You are invited to check our products at shops in your area that hold our collection For information about shops locations, contact us.

What forms of payments are accepted?

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards, or Paypal. All payments are processed through a secure payment system. We don’t accept American Express. Please contact us for bank transfers.

Are there additional costs other than listed on your checkout page?

Purchases from select countries (view list) will not carry any additional cost other than the costs displayed on our checkout page. However, orders from countries not listed MAY INCUR additional costs such as; import duties, taxes or other customs related charges. Customs charges will be collected by the shipping company upon delivery. You may check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order.

Why are you charging additional fees?

We want to make sure that you aren’t caught by surprise with last minute import duties, local taxes, customs and handling fees  so all extra charges are calculated at check out and are pre-paid. That way we can assure you that once you place your order there willn’t be any other payments you will need to carry.

I’m interested in a custom mat, what can you suggest?

One of our fundamental goals is to give our customers the feeling of a tailored experience when coming to purchase a mat. Offering a wide range of sizes, patterns and inspiration allows you to enjoy a fitted yet affordable solution. Before going ahead with a custom made mat we  strongly recommend that first you will look at our existing (and super rich) range of  adaptable flooring collections.

I looked at your adaptable flooring solutions but prefer to go with a custom by Beija  mat, how do we proceed?

A tailored mat is always a nice option​ 🙂 For your convenience, please see below information and terms:

  • Minimum order- 450 euro.
  •  The maximum sheet width is 200 cm. For carpet orders larger than the maximum width, the mat will be composed from several sheets that with graphic adjustments will look like one mat.
  •  Color variations-  variations in color between what appears on the screen and the real color might occur.
  • Differences in cut size-  of up to 3%  due to the production process.
  • There are no returns on custom orders.
  • Production can take up to 4 weeks.
  • Your order might be subjected to import duties, taxes or other customs related charges.

Shipping & Returns

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to most countries.If for some reason you can’t find your address listed please contact us.

How long do deliveries take?

Once you place your order it is sent to production.This process may take up to 10 business days. Once your product is ready, it is packed and sent off via express shipping with the shipping time of 3-7 days.

How do I track my order?

You will receive an email confirmation with the tracking code when your order has shipped.

How can I cancel my order?

If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us. 

I’ve received a wrong/fault item, what should I do?

We want to sort out these issues straightaway. As soon as you discover a mistake/ fault, please contact us with the following information:

  • Order number
  • Picture of the item you received
  • A short description explaining the matter.
  • Please make sure you save the original packaging to repack and return to us.

Please note: if you encounter a wrong/ faulty item please let us know within our 14 days return policy so we can resolve the issue for you as quickly as we can.

How do I return an item?

If for any reason, you wish to return your item, you will have 14 days to return an item from the day the order was received. The item should be returned in the original box it was shipped, rolled firmly with the pattern facing in. Returned products must be in an unused condition, with the original packaging, original tags and labels attached.

What shipping methods I can choose from when returning an order?

You are welcome to use your local post service. Do ask for proof of postage – we may need to see this at a later date.Please also make sure everything is prepaid, including import charges and local taxes in Israel to avoid unpleasant delays.

Please note that unlike the shipping to you where we subsidize  part of the shipping cost,  return shipping expanse is in your sole responsibility (unless agreed otherwise).

Why is there a  big difference in shipping price from receiving to returning an item?

As part of our service, we subsidize part of the shipping cost of the orders leaving us. This doesn’t apply on returns and exchanges shipping costs which are in the responsibility of the purchaser.

Are there any items I cannot return?

Unless damaged beforehand or specially customized, we expect all returning products to be in their original, unused condition packaged with the original packaging, original tags and labels attached.

What are your return shipping policies?

Unless received damage where in that case we take full responsibility,  payment for return shipping and any subsequent damages from return shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please note that we subsidize part of the shipping expanse from us to you but in case you wish to return your order the full shipping expanse will be on your behalf.  We recommend tracking your package so you can ensure it has arrived otherwise, we cannot refund your payment.

I’m having trouble signing into my account

  • Make sure you are using the same email address and password you registered with.
  • If you can’t remember your password click on the ‘lost your password’ link on the sign in page. You’ll be prompted to enter your email address and we’ll send you an email with a link that will allow you to create a new password for your account.
  • If after this you still can’t sign in, contact our Customer service.

I’m not receiving any communications from Beija Flor, what should I do?

Upon placing your Beija Flor order you’ll receive an order confirmation mail.Following to this mail, a few days later you will also receive an update mail and finally a shipping confirmation mail with your tracking info. If you didn’t receive any of these emails please check the following:

  1. Check your junk mail – Your email software may be marking our emails as junk mail. To stop this from happening, please add *******  to your email address book.
  2. Check your email address – Make sure you typed in the correct email address when you signed up with us. Just sign in to your account to check this.
  3. Contact us – If after this you’re still having trouble, contact our Customer service and we will try our best to help.

Can you help me with my promo code?

Enter the promo code at checkout. You need to enter the code exactly as it was given to you, without any spaces. Type or copy and paste the code into the ‘discount code’ box. Then click on ‘‘Apply code’. When the code has been applied to your order, you’ll see the promo value and the total of your order will change to reflect the code.  *You must enter the discount/promo code when you are checking out as it can’t be applied later.

Promo code not working?

If you find that your promo code isn’t working then please check the below:

  • You can only use one promo code per order.
  • As our discount/promo codes vary so do the terms and conditions of each, so make sure you check when you receive any codes. Codes may only be valid for certain items and the majority of codes will have an expiry date.
  • Some codes will only work for specific email addresses so make sure you are using the same email you listed to open your account with us.

Tips on how to use our products

How do I hand the designer sheet?

It’s a simple DIY task. The designer sheet Can be applied in a variety of ways depending on the surface and personal preference. You can use thin plywood or wood panels, placing them on the entire back surface or only top and bottom. Hang it from the wood or use strong double-sided adhesive and place directly on the wall.

You can also use nails or staples ( depending on the designated surface) but in our opinion, it is less recommended.

 If needed, use a Stanley knife and ruler to adjust the size and fit. Apply on a completely clean and dry surface. Do not tape the entire frame to allow your surface a little breathing room. We do not recommend installing on walls subjected to moisture infiltration such as bathrooms to avoid mold accumulation. Do not place next to a fireplace

How do I apply deco stickers?

  • Make sure the desired surface is clean, dry and preferably smooth.
  • Use a dry cloth or a squeegee to gently rub the sticker on to the surface smoothing it out and pushing out air bubbles as you gradually continue to apply the sticker in its entirety.
  • If necessary, the stickers can be removed from most hard surfaces with no damage or residue, other than when applied directly on painted wall, in which case some peeling and slight damage may occur.
  • In case applied inaccurately, the sticker can be removed and re-applied if done instantly.
  • Do not place directly on and/or next to a fire, fireplace or stove.

What does the name Beija Flor mean ?

Beija Flor is the Portuguese name for the hummingbird and it literally means “The Kisser of flowers”. The name has resonated from our products that kiss the space they are in.
